The Savion Foundation
A Shared Space for Every Mother
Reflections for mothers navigating a child's struggle with depression or mental health challenges, and for those living with the unimaginable loss of a child. You are not alone.
A Shared Space for
Every Mother
A Journey of Heart and Hope
The Savion Foundation was inspired by Savion Pollard, a vibrant son and father whose path was complicated by depression. I saw the need for a place that honors both the bravery of moms supporting a child through mental illness and the quiet strength of those who have lost a child.
This space is for you -- the mom managing confrontations and heavy silences. Whether you are currently in the thick of a child's depression or carrying the weight of grief, we offer a space of solidarity and reflection, with recommendations for support.
Here, your reality is acknowledged and your love is celebrated.
In solidarity,
Mom & Founder, Katjya Pollard

Articles for Reflection & Action
Messages of hope for moms navigating the complexities of loss, or confronting the challenges of depression and mental health.
No matter where you are on this road, you are seen and loved.
In Loving Memory of Savion
Savion was a light whose battle with depression impacted his choices and quality of life. His story reminds us why we must talk openly about mental health and the ripples it leaves in families. We share his story to:
• Honor the beautiful life he lived
• Support his family and daughter
• Raise awareness for child and adult depression
• Show other moms that their story matters.
Savion’s legacy is one of love, and through it, we hope to offer comfort to every mother walking a similar path.
